We recently posted that the 179(d) Federal Tax Deduction was mostly likely gone for good. Well, Congress went and surprised us by extending it on Friday for projects completed in 2017 as part of the Bipartisan Budget Act. As we reported in the first post, we think it is unlikely that 179(d) gets extended after 2017 due to how the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act changed the depreciation rules overall. Be sure to read our latest article on the extension along with a recap of what 179(d) is and how we can help you take advantage of it.
If you have a project that may qualify, please contact us so we can get started on the paperwork. Due to this late extension we have even less time than normal for completing the paperwork before business taxes are due.
