Often when you call someone to come fix a broken air conditioner, they will report that all they did was replace a capacitor. This very thing happened lately to a friend and fellow business owner and afterwards he came to me and asked just what is that small piece that seems to fail so easily. With Halloween fast approaching, you may be out watching scary movies or visiting haunted houses, but don’t be scared when you come home and hear banging in your walls, attic or crawl space. It’s probably just water hammer. Of course, it might also be a ghost so I’ll leave it up to you if you want to climb into your attic or crawl under your house to investigate.
